Delete your BangaloreStays account

How to request account deletion

Use either path below. Deletion is permanent. You will need to cancel or complete any open BangaloreStays bookings first.

In the BangaloreStays Android or iOS app
1. Open BangaloreStays and sign in.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Open Security (or scroll to account actions).
4. Tap Delete account.
5. Confirm the prompt. We delete your account immediately when there are no open stays.
On the BangaloreStays website
1. Sign in at bangalorestays.com.
2. Open Profile.
3. Choose Delete account and confirm.
By email (if you cannot sign in)
Email privacy@bangalorestays.com from the address linked to your BangaloreStays account. Include your full name and registered mobile number (if any). We will verify ownership and process the request, usually within 30 days.

Signed-in deletion

Data that is deleted

When your BangaloreStays account is deleted, we remove or irreversibly anonymise:

Profile details (name, email, phone, avatar, preferences)
Sign-in credentials and phone OTP linkage for that account
Wishlist / saved stays
In-app notifications for your user id
Host listing visibility (listings are unpublished / marked deleted)
Host KYC document links and payout bank account details on file

Data that may be kept, and for how long

Some records are kept only as needed for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes. Where we keep them, we anonymise personal identifiers where practical.

Booking and stay history — retained up to 7 years for tax, dispute, and audit needs; guest/host contact fields are anonymised after deletion.
Payment / Razorpay transaction references — retained up to 7 years as required for financial records; card details are never stored by BangaloreStays.
Support tickets and abuse / safety reports — retained up to 3 years, then deleted or anonymised.
Server security logs — typically up to 90 days.
